About

Objectives

  • Increase Awareness: Promote the professor and their research in the Microbiome and Genomics Lab.

  • Engage Audience: Create engaging content to capture the interest of students, researchers, and potential collaborators.

  • Brand Representation: Design a logo that embodies the essence of the lab’s research while aligning with the University of Houston's branding.

Logo

Logo Design

  • Concept Development: I started by sketching initial ideas in Procreate, aiming to combine a DNA strand with elements of a leaf to symbolize the lab's focus on microbiomes in plant and soil.

  • Color Scheme: Used the University of Houston’s branding colors to ensure consistency and recognition.

  • Final Design: Refined the sketches and built the final logo in Adobe Illustrator, resulting in a design that visually represents the lab’s research theme.
